Fashion photography is an ever-evolving art form, that reflects the dynamic and fast-paced world of fashion. In the new era, a fresh wave of talented photographers is pushing boundaries, redefining aesthetics, and setting new standards in the industry. Here, we shine a spotlight on some of the world's best fashion photographers who are making a significant impact today.

Tim Walker

Known for his fantastical and dream-like imagery, Tim Walker is a British fashion photographer whose work is instantly recognizable. Walker's photographs are often elaborate and whimsical, featuring intricate sets and costumes that transport viewers into surreal worlds. His distinctive style has graced the pages of magazines like Vogue, W, and Love. Walker's work is a testament to the power of imagination in fashion photography, making him one of the most influential photographers of the new era.




Mario Sorrenti

Sorrenti was born in Naples, Italy 1971 and moved to New York City at the age of ten where he is still based. He is the son of a New York-based creative director and fashion photographer in the 90s Francesca Sorrenti.

Mario Sorrenti exploded onto the fashion scene in the 1990s, largely due to his sexually charged editorial work, published in American and Italian Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.

Sorrenti has had exhibitions in London (Victoria and Albert Museum), Paris, Monaco, and New York City (Museum of Modern Art). He has undertaken campaigns and directed commercials for Calvin Klein, and has shot Kate Moss for the Calvin Klein Obsession ads. Sorrenti met Moss whilst working on an early 'Levis for Girls' campaign for The Design Corporation and Levi's. He has also worked for Lancôme, Paco Rabanne, Benetton, and Pirelli Calendar 2012. He is currently signed exclusively with the agency Art Partner.

Mikael Jansson

Mikael Jansson is a leading fashion photographer/director currently living in London and working worldwide. During the mid-nineties, he gained notoriety by creating epic features for some of the leading avant-garde publications of the era. He is renowned for his technical prowess and emotionally charged images, spanning all genres.

Among his influences, he credits legendary master photographer Richard Avedon whom he worked with in the late eighties. Mikael Jansson's spirit of adventure and travel has taken him to spectacular locations around the world on assignment for publications such as W Magazine, Vogue, Vogue Paris, and Vogue Nippon. He regularly contributes to Interview Magazine, shooting celebrity cover features as well as influential actors, musicians, and designers. He also contributes to Love and i-D and has created memorable campaigns for Calvin Klein, Armani Cosmetics, Hugo Boss, H&M, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Christian Dior.

Steven Meisel

Steven Meisel born June 5, 1954, is an American fashion photographer, who obtained popularity and critical acclaim with his work in the US and Italian Vogue and his photographs of his friend Madonna in her 1992 book Sex. He is now considered one of the most successful fashion photographers in the industry, shooting regularly for both US and Italian Vogue,

Meisel has shot campaigns for Versace, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga and Calvin Klein amongst others. Meisel also shoots Prada campaigns each season — having done so since 2004. In April 2008 he shot friend Madonna for Vanity Fair, and later in the year he shot her for the 2009 spring campaign by Louis Vuitton.

Chen Man

Born in Beijing in 1980, Chen Man grew up after the Cultural Revolution and was part of the generation of the Chinese one-child policy. Chen attended the Central Academy of Fine Arts and graduated in 2005, where she studied graphic design.

At the age of 23, she published her self-styled photography as covers for Chinese art magazine VISION, bringing her immediate prominence for the first time as a student. Her early style includes extensive use of digital tools such as Photoshop and 3D Max to create an extravagant visual experience.

In addition to producing covers for VISION magazine, Chen also does fashion photography for Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, i-D, Cosmopolitan, and Esquire.

Her own studio, Studio 6, based in Beijing, is producing advertising campaigns for brands such as L'Oréal, MAC, Dior, Canon, Guess, Hublot, Carl F. Bucherer, Sharp, Beats, Cadillac, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Motorola, Adidas, Puma, Converse, Uniqlo, Budweiser, Absolut Vodka, Shiseido, Maybelline, etc.
