Writing an article on a stylist in India could be an essay as you guys think but the best stylists are few and stylist are many, I have chosen to write about the best stylists in India who are very much endured in the industry and work with the A-listed celebrities and still working in various related areas.

Some of them are Fashion editors, Top designers, and Entrepreneurs after seeing them all yonder work you will be compelled to be a stylist if you're anywhere close to the creative industry I can guarantee you.

Below is a list of the top stylists in India

Anaita Shroff Adajania

Anaita Shroff Adajania is an Indian fashion stylist and costume designer. She is the Fashion Director for Vogue India magazine. She started her career as an assistant fashion editor with Elle magazine, upon its Indian launch in 1996. Subsequently, she worked with L'Officiel India, before becoming the fashion director at Vogue India.

At the age of 25, Manish Malhotra tried his luck in Bollywood by designing costumes for Juhi Chawla for the movie Swarg (1990). His gamble paid off when he won a Filmfare Costume Award for styling Urmila Matondkar in Rangeela (1995) for which he garnered some recognition. Since then, his career in the film industry took off as he went on to work for some of the biggest names in the industry. During his tenure, he had the fortune of working in several blockbuster films and actors.

At 19, she applied for Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai with support from Wendell Rodricks. Gupta is well known for the creative and artistic/literary names she gives each collection. She named her first collection Kattran (English: miniature bits of fabric). Her LFW 2014 collection "Wanderess," was, quote, "inspired by novelist Roman Payne’s doe-eyed gypsy girl character, Saskia" in his novel, The Wanderess.

Shloka Mehta, daughter-in-law of Mukesh Ambani, is elegantly dressed in a luxurious saree designed by Masaba. The saree features a rich olive green color with intricate gold embroidery and embellishments. She accessorizes with traditional Indian jewelry, including a statement necklace, bangles, and a maang tikka adorning her forehead. Sabyasachi Mukherjee

Sabyasachi Mukherjee (born 23 February 1974) is an Indian fashion designer from Kolkata. Since 1999, he has sold designer merchandise using the label Sabyasachi. Mukherjee is one of the Associate Designer Members of the Fashion Design Council of India and the youngest board member of the National Museum of Indian Cinema. He has designed costumes for Bollywood films such as Guzaarish, Baabul, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Raavan, and English Vinglish.




Pernia Qureshi

Pernia Qureshi is one of India’s leading style icons and fashion entrepreneurs. A stylist with Harper’s Bazaar, Elle & Conde Nast in New York & New Delhi. Pernia has also ventured into designing costumes for Bollywood, namely the film Aisha. She created and launched Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop in 2012, an e-commerce website that showcases over 500 designers and delivers worldwide.

Pernia has authored a fashion style guide called Be Stylish with Pernia Qureshi. Published by Random House India, the book gives guidance on how to understand and hone one’s style.

Neeta Lulla

Neeta Lulla is an Indian costume designer and fashion stylist who has worked on over 300 films. She has been designing wedding dresses since 1985. Her name became inseparably associated with Bollywood after actresses Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit wore her costumes in Devdas (2002 Hindi film), the trend-setting Bollywood film. Her first big client was jewelry designer Varuna Jani, though Jani hadn’t started her business at the time. After that Lulla fully committed to a Bollywood client base when she designed for actor Spana who was prominent in the Bollywood community in South India. This success was followed by her designs for actresses Salma Agha and Sridevi.
